I made a simple card this time around because I was short on time. I’ve been busy tearing up my house, packing, sorting, and making a mess of things. The packing phase has begun!
That blue patterned paper I used on the background of my card is actually a little card that came with my Studio Calico kit. These fun little cards have printing on them of current sales, promotions, etc and a printed design on the other side. I think those little cards are too pretty to throw out, so I’ve been saving mine. This one actually had an oval area in the center with some printed stuff on it, but I simply covered it up with my elements.
A banner sticker, some twine, a snowflake button, and a smidge of stamping finish it off.

Just to let you all know, I’m planning on taking a break from blogging for the remainder of the year. I’ll be back with any prior commitments, such as design team posts and prescheduled blog hops and things of that sort. As things look right now we’re planning on a November 30th settlement date. Then once the house is officially ours we’d like to have someone in to do some painting and some minor remodeling work. If all goes as planned we will most likely move the second week of December. Of course then it’s Christmas time and I’ll be trying to do my Christmas shopping and getting settled in, plus just spending time with my family. So my time here will be very limited.
I will be stopping in from time to time and I plan to resume my normal blogging schedule after the New Year. I just didn’t want to leave you all hanging, wondering what’s going on. My mind is racing in a million different directions right now and sometimes I just don’t even know where to begin.
I hope to still bring you the winter kits I planned to put in my Etsy shop. My work in my shop has been put on hold lately with everything else that’s been going on. But I’d really like to do them and I hope to get some time to finish them up this weekend and get them posted.
