Hi! Welcome to my blog!
My Name is Brenda Weaver. I’ve been crafty pretty much ever since I can remember. As a child I spent hours designing clothes for my dolls and paper dolls and drawing and doodling on any paper I could find. When I was about 13 my parents allowed me to take a decorative painting class which was so wonderful! I learned so much and my teacher was the best!
After my husband and I married in 1996 I had a job doing decorative painting for a company that made wooden lids for Longaberger baskets. When our first child was born I quit that job to focus on the responsibilities of motherhood. I never really got back into painting because I soon found out that paints and toddlers don’t mix very well. I settled for a craft that made more sense for me at the time. Scrapbooking!
Pretty much the only scrapbook supplies I had in those early days were card stock, stickers, adhesive, and pens. Remember the days of the sticker sneeze? Yeah, I was there.
Sometime after we moved to a new home in 2003 my husband mentioned a scrapbook store he had seen not too far away. One visit to that scrapbook store was all it took for me to become hopelessly addicted. Unfortunately, that scrapbook store is no longer in business, but I still remember the feeling of excitement I felt as I browsed through the isles of paper, inks, embellishments, and all sorts of wonderful paper crafting paraphernalia and dreamed about all the fabulous layouts I would create with it all.
In 2005 I became an independent demonstrator for a major stamping company after my sister invited me to a home party and I fell in love with their products. It was then that I discovered I enjoy making cards almost as much as I enjoy scrapbooking and my love of all things paper crafting was born.
Now I enjoy inspiring others through this little blog of mine. It’s no fun to create something and keep it to yourself. I’d rather share it with all of you, my paper crafting friends, and hope that these things I create will inspire you in the same way that I have gained so much inspiration from all of you!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
