SSD January release blog hop and Tuesday Sketch

Welcome to the Skipping Stones Design Blog Hop to celebrate the release of two new sets, Heartsong and Purse Birthday! Today the DT and Guests of SSD will be featuring cards using Heartsong. If you’ve just happened upon my blog today, make sure to start from the beginning at Skipping Stones Design. You should have arrived here from GLADYS‘s blog.

Combined with the blog hop today, it’s also Skipping Stones Sketch Tuesday which means we’re showcasing another great creation from our Guest Sketch Artist this month, Amy Sheffer. We’d love for you to play along with the sketch and link your card at the Skipping Stones Blog. A lucky winner that joins our sketch challenge will win either a free stamp set or half off any stamp set in the store!

Here’s the new set, Heartsong, that we’re using this week.

And here’s my card.

It’s almost impossible to see on the photo, but the red piece was stamped with the sheet music stamp from the set. I was disappointed that it didn’t show up better. Considered re-stamping it, then decided to leave it.

There’s another great set being released today. It’s called Purse Birthday. Check it out! Fun, right?

And now for some more great news!
Skipping Stones Design is having a buy 3 get of FREE sale from now until the 17th at midnight!!!
Customers need to enter the code:”1free” when checking out and the discount will be given.

From here you’ll want to head on over to BARB‘s blog to continue the blog hop. If you happen to lose your way, just head back to Skipping Stones Design for the master blog hop list.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and for hopping along with us!

Beautiful card Brenda! I love that butterfly with the “fizz” around it – I don’t know what else to call it but I love it! Both of these sets are fabulous!

  2. Barb Turpin says:

Beautiful card Brenda. I know what you mean about the background stamp not showing well, I had the same problem with next week’s card! This would make a wonderful Valentine Card or even for a wedding!

  3. Made By Mandy says:

Love the bold colours, you can just about see the stamping but I think if it was too strong it would have spoiled the clean look to the card. That love embellishment is gorgeous and looks like it would be hard to part with LOL

I love hearing from my readers! Thanks for your comment!
