12 Cards for Christmas- card #6

edited to add: I am really screwed up with my times today. The last post will be up at 6:00, not 7:00, not 8:00. The time on my computer is off and I need to figure out how to chahnge it. It’s getting me super confused. Ach!!

Hey there! Still keeping up? Been working on any crafty stuff today? I’m glad you took the time to join me here for my 12 Cards for Christmas showcase. It’s time to meet card #6!

My last card was more shabby/ vintage in nature, but we’re going in a different direction for this next one. This one is a little more cute and simple, but it also is a card that uses absolutely no red or green at all. Have you ever made a Christmas card without using any red or green? Try it. It’s a fun challenge!

I used another Basic Grey tag on this one, plus some leftover rub-ons from a half used package. It felt good to get these items onto a project. They were feeling neglected and overlooked, I’m sure.

Comment here for a chance to win the prize package. This time tell me what you’re hoping to find for yourself under the tree this year. Me? I’m gettin’ nuthin’ for Christmas! I’ve been nuthin’ but bad! Hee! Actually, hubby and I agreed we’d not get each other gifts this year. We splurged a bit more than usual and bought the Wii for our boys. We figured the whole family would be using it anyway, so we’ll just stick to our budget and not get each other any presents. At least that’s the plan and he’d better stick to it! I hate it when we agree on no gifts and then he goes and buys me something anyway. Because then, since I stuck to my word, I don’t have anything to give him in return, and I love to give gifts! Not fair!
But anyway, how about you? Will you be getting any gifts this year? If you could pick any one thing to receive what would it be?

supplies: card stock, stamp, ink, rub-ons: Stampin’ Up!; tags: Basic Grey; ribbon: unknown

Super cute!! I love the color combo.

My husband and I do not exchange gifts at Christmas….we haven’t for several years now. The kids don’t think it is fair that we don’t get gifts, so they insist on it (ages 5 and 6). So, I go out and find something that my hubby or I need that doesn’t cost so much and let them wrap them up and put them under the tree addressed from them. I am getting a hand mixer (mine broke last month) and hubby is getting a functioning coffee maker (shhhhhh….he doesn’t know….LOL).

Like the poster above, I love how you continued the snowflakes onto your paper!

We do exchange gifts, but really there’s nothing I really really want this year. Guess I have all I need. I’m sure hubby will buy me a book or two – which is great since I’m such an avid reader. I’m buying him an e-reader – I have one and love it!

This year, I must admit to really wanting some scrappy gift cards, or a Rachel Ray cookbook, or some blocking wires for knitting.

I prefer to give gifts, but I know I will love what ever my family gives me. I have a fraktur baptism certificate I would like framed. Hopefully my family is having it framed for me.

I love the blue (or turqoise?) on that card! I already got my present, a Teresa Collins Stampmaker. My dh will probably get me something else too just so I have something to open.

Very pretty card. It’s a neat color combo and I like the different edges and corners.
I already got Dave’s present…a new BIG tv for in his computer room. He’s using it already. I asked for a laptop but not sure if I’ll be getting it. He says if I have that then I’ll never get off the sofa!

Dh and I don’t exchange gifts either. We draw names in his family and I’m really hoping for a craft gift card but they all have good taste so I’m sure whatever it is will be great.
I really like the way you spotlighted on this card. Pretty…

I have made cards using untraditional colors!
    This one is great!
I only want a distressing tool!
That was all I could think of!
Cause if I ‘need’ anything I’ll just go get it!
