Giveaway!

Hey folks! How about a giveaway to get your week started off right?

I have a couple of paper crafting magazines to give away today. Two of them, in fact. I have a card published in each of them.
The folks at Northridge Media are wonderful to always send two of the magazine publications you have your work published in. I figured I really don’t need two of them, so I’m keeping a copy of each for myself and am giving the other two away to one lucky reader.

They are CARDS magazine (May 2010), and Scrapbook Trends (May 2010).

These magazines are packed full of beautiful card and scrapbook page ideas that will keep you inspired for quite a while. The folks at Northridge Media are known for their gorgeous, colorful magazine with no advertisements. All you get is page after page of beautiful paper crafting samples. These magazines are really some of my very favorite!

If you’d like to win these two publications, just leave a comment on this post telling me which you enjoy better- card making or scrapbooking and why. I’ll pick a winner by tomorrow evening. Sound good?

Good luck!

I like both card making and scrapbooking, but I’m more interested in scrapbooking. I only wish I had more talent for it, so I could preserve more of my family photos.
    Enjoy your day

i like card making better. i have tried to scrap and find it extremely challenging. every now and then i still give it a shot and hope one day to be happy with my results. xox

ps. still loving your blog though i don’t always leave a comment. xoxo

I’d have to day that I really do like both, though I do more scrapbooking, because I find that I just have a tougher time with cards. Who doesn’t need more inspiration? Congrats on all of your publications!

Congratulations on your pubs! I prefer card-making, because it’s quick and dirty. I can knock out a card in minutes, while a page takes hours… I usually fall more in love with the pages in the end, but since they take longer, I experiment less.

I like the surprises that come when I really sit down and try new things when I make cards.

  5. Jackie says:

Woohoo! Congrats to you – that’s awesome! I love to make cards, and do not scrapbook (it’s just that I feel it would take me too long – card making takes long enough for me!). Thanks for the chance to win!

  6. Diane Mengel says:

Congrats on both publications! I do both but I feel better doing scrapbooking because my cards always seem too amaturish (sp?). I think I need to copy yours!!

  7. Caryn says:

First of all – WOOT WOOT on being published – I bet your cards are stunning. Secondly, to answer your question I’d say card-making. I procrastinate so much over LO’s and they end up taking me a week to complete – cards I can do MUCH quicker, lol.
    Thanks for the chance,

    Hugs,
    Caryn xxx

As much as I love making cards, I would still have to say scrapbooking. I love it because it is so personal, it’s my way of presenting and preserving the best pieces of life through my eyes. You are able to verbally & visually portray your feelings, thoughts and emotions on a page that you get to cherish and share with others for years to come. It turns into more than just a page in a book, but a legacy.

I used to get SB Trends, but it got a bit pricey even though I loved it. The CardMaking one is super and is brimming with great ideas and inspiration……would love to win either one—-what a “treat” from Sweet Paper Treats!

  10. Andrea says:

Congratulations! What a treat to be published in both magazines. As for my preference, I would say card making because of the more immediate gratification. I am one of those scrappers that hem and haw (as my Mom used to say) and move things around my layouts so much that it takes sooo long to finish.

  11. Sandi says:

I like both scrapbooking and card making but I guess I get more card making done because it’s quicker. Instant gratification makes me happy. I really need to scrapbook more. I’m so far behind!!!! I’m sure these books would help with my creativity in both directions!

I love hearing from my readers! Thanks for your comment!
