Wow! It’s been quite a while since I’ve been able to take part in Kristina’s color inspiration challenge. Probably about a month or more, at least! Last week I actually made a card for the challenge but then didn’t get the time to photograph and post it. Sad, huh?
Well, guess what I did today. I sent off a big box to Stampin’ Up! that held all of the Convention samples I had been working on over the last month. What a relief to finally be done with them (all 24 of them!) and get them off my mind and move on to other things.
I actually had a number of other projects that I wanted to complete this week yet, but I figured I would take this chance to just sit down and play with my stamps just for the fun of it. I felt like creating something with nothing particular in mind- just to get back to the fun of playing and creating something just for my own pleasure. How fun is that!!? It felt good!!!
Here’s the photo for this week’s challenge. Colors are Chocolate, Rose, Mustard, and White.
I just got some new Hero Arts stamps last week that I hadn’t had time to play with yet, so I figured here was my chance. I ended up using all three new stamps on my card today.
I REALLY love that hounds tooth stamp!!! I can see myself reaching for that one many more times. So fun!
Oh, and I forgot to tell you all about my National Scrapbook Day! Did any of you do anything special for NSD? I went to a two day scrapbook retreat at Page By Page, the scrapbook store where I teach classes. I had a great time scrapbooking with friends and making new ones. I was able to complete 20 scrapbook pages in all in the two days I was there. I was super excited about that! I will be sharing some of my favorites with you soon.
Chat later!
